Walsh University and Not for Sale: One Step at A Time will host the 8th Annual Community Freedom Summit on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cecchini Center Arena in North Canton.
The free event focuses on human trafficking prevention and awareness, with this year’s theme: “Think globally, act locally.”
The summit will feature speakers from Covenant House, a symbolic Red Sand Project display, a service project creating 500 self-care bags for victims of abuse or trafficking, and a one-mile silent walk to honor victims and survivors.
The event is free and open to the public.
