On Sunday,(January 22nd) authorities notified the Wadsworth School District that a high school student made a threat pertaining to the high school. The Police Department worked diligently on Sunday and took the student who was responsible into custody.
Due to the ongoing investigation, School District officials would not disclose the contents of the threat. But, leaders did say while the threat was specific to Wadsworth High School, it did not name any individuals.
Wadsworth School Superintendent Doctor Andy Hill thanked the Wadsworth Police Department for their quick work on Sunday and the work that they do on an everyday basis to keep both students and staff safe.
Doctor Hill also said that in today’s day and age all threats must be taken as legitimate until proven otherwise. The District believes that factual information to those in the Wadsworth Community helps to refute incorrect rumors that may exist.
