The Wadsworth Boys Track Team finished 5th in the Division One State Track and Field Championship held at Ohio State University the first weekend in June. The Grizzlies finished in first place in two events.
One first place finish was in the 4 X 800 relay event. Running for Wadsworth in the relay were senior Josiah Sovine, junior Kai Wagner, senior Nick Miller and senior Gabe Szalay.
Another first place finish for the Grizzlies was in the 800-meter run. Nick Miller finished in first place.
The Wadsworth 4 X 400 meter relay team finished in 7th and in the 1600 meter run, Gabe Szalay finished 4th.
The Wadsworth Girls track team finished 46th in the state meet. Hailey Montgomery scored the only points for Wadsworth by finishing 6th in the shotput.
