Wadsworth Community Radio

Calling all artists! Main Street Wadsworth is creating a community coloring book and wants your illustrations of local landmarks, events, and hidden gems.

You can submit up to three black-and-white line art samples by Sept. 1.

“This coloring book will showcase the charm, character, and creativity of our vibrant downtown and surrounding areas, through the eyes of our artistic community,” said Emma Kelley, Community Engagement Manager.

Main Street Wadsworth is looking for: 

  • Approximately 15 – 25 black-and-white, line-art illustrations suitable for coloring.

  • Artwork inspired by Wadsworth: architecture, public spaces, events, local businesses, street life, and hidden gems. They want to see things that make Wadsworth, Wadsworth! It could be the downtown Gazebo, Memorial Park, historic buildings, the Blue Tip Parade, Scare on the Square, the Candlelight Walk or so many others.

  • Clean, high-contrast images (no shading or gradients).

  • Both traditional and digital illustrators welcome.

Eligibility:

  • Open to artists of all ages and experience levels.

  • Multiple artists will be selected.

  • Must be able to submit print-ready, high-resolution artwork.

  • Preference given to artists with a connection to Wadsworth or surrounding areas.

  • The Main Street Wadsworth Design Committee will select the images that will be included in the book

 
Submission Requirements: 
  • Up to 3 sample illustrations (PNG).

  • A short artist bio (150 words max).

  • Link to portfolio or social media account (optional but encouraged).

 
What You Get:  
  • A featured page (or pages) in the published coloring book.

  • Your artwork displayed throughout the downtown restaurants and businesses.

  • Artist credit with bio and references on website/social media. 

  • A complimentary copy of the book.

  • The chance to contribute to a community art initiative that supports local culture and tourism.

Selected artists will be featured in the book, on downtown displays, and on social media.
