We may have said goodbye to several White Castle restaurants in northeast Ohio, but the burgers are coming back to Canal Park. The Akron RubberDucks will begin selling White Castle’s Original Sliders at the ball games. Three new items have also been added to the ballpark’s extreme food menu: Not Your Routine Poutine, The Don Corleone Sub and Grand Slam Walk-Off Wedge.
Not Your Routine Poutine is a stacked 12-ounce pile of French fries topped with gravy, cheese curds, BBQ pulled pork, bacon bits and green onion.
The Don Corleone Sub is an 8-inch long Italian sub layered with generous portions of ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato. It’s topped off with delicious balsamic onions and signature pepper relish.
Grand Slam Walk-Off Wedge is a full head of iceberg lettuce chopped up, served in a full-size baseball helmet and topped with homemade pretzel croutons, cherry tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, sunflower seeds, and served with a honey mustard dressing.
The club also announced its new Jobu’s Craft Brews menu and Duck Wings.
