The Office of the Ohio Inspector General has released its 2025 Annual Report, outlining how the state investigates fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct within state agencies.
Inspector General Randall Meyer presented the report to the governor and members of the Ohio General Assembly, as required by law.
In 2025, the office received 368 complaints and closed 19 cases. Those investigations resulted in 61 criminal charges and identified more than $10 million in monetary loss tied to fraud or abuse.
Since Meyer took office in 2011, the office has released 811 investigative reports, issued more than 1,600 recommendations to agencies, and identified more than a quarter-billion dollars in losses to the State of Ohio.
