The Akron Zoo will hold their second of four Brew at the Zoo events on Wednesday, July 15, from 6 – 9 p.m. The Christmas in July themed event will feature several Christmas ales.
During the event visitors can sample beer from over a dozen breweries and food trucks, Manna Food Truck andWholly Frijoles Mexican Street Foods will be selling food. The band, Blu Monsoon, will provide live entertainment and the entire zoo will be open. Visitors are encouraged to wear their favorite Christmas summer outfits as part of the zoo will be decorated with Christmas decorations.
Visitors will get to taste a variety of beers from Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Ohio Brewing Company, Elevator Brewing,Black Box Brewing, The Brew Kettle, Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company, Bells Brewery Inc., Hoppin’ Frog Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Mucky Duck Brewing, R. Shea Brewing, Southern Tier Brewing Co., Mikkeller, Nogne O, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales andWeyerbacher. Attendees will receive six free beer samples andfull-sized beers will be available for $4. Additional tasting cards are available for $10.
Tickets are $25 for Akron Zoo members and $31 for non-Akron Zoo members. Designated driver tickets are also available for $14 for an Akron Zoo member and $20 for a non-Akron Zoo member. For more information or to register call(330) 375-2550 ext. 7251. Guests for the event must be 21 or older.
