Blue Tip Pub and Grill in Wadsworth is permanently closed, as of Jan. 26, 2023.

A somewhat surprising series of Facebook posts prompted us to again reach out to Blue Tip Pub and Grill about the future of the restaurant. We knew the building and business went on the market on Jan. 22 for $2.3 million. You can read our previous story here.

On Jan. 25, owners said in an email with Wadsworth Community Radio they didn’t “have a closing date yet.”

Then on Jan. 26, Blue Tip Pub and Grill posted on their Facebook page about being closed Thursday for building maintenance and would reopen Friday, Jan. 27, asking for guests to come out and support the band set to play Friday night.

A few hours later, the establishment posted a note on their Facebook page saying they “had to close our doors and cancel any future events.”

Wadsworth Community Radio reached out to our underwriting contact at Blue Tip Pub and Grill, Michael Pitz, who confirmed the restaurant owners decided to close their doors for good Thursday night (Jan. 26, 2023).

Wadsworth Community Radio wishes the owners and staff all the very best moving forward in the future.

The Blue Tip Pub and Grill building was completely renovated and converted to its current use in 2020. The building, located on South Lyman Street and Wright Drive in downtown Wadsworth, is on the market for $2.3 million. You can check out the listing HERE and our previous coverage here.
