The State of Ohio is providing a big financial shot in the arm for the Brickyard property in Wadsworth.
Wadsworth will get $2 million from the State to repurpose the Brickyard into a state-of-the-art athletic complex and outdoor recreation area, creating a regional tourist destination.
The funding is from the state’s Strategic Community Investment Fund, otherwise known as Substitute House Bill 2.
The timeline for the project is below:
- 2024: Detailed engineering and design
- 2025: Construction of Phase I Improvements and Athletic Complex and Parks
