What kid doesn’t love an amusement park? But finding the perfect one isn’t always easy. Family Vacation Critic just made things simpler for you with their annual list of the Best Amusement Parks for Families, taking into consideration family perks, nearby accommodations, and new rides and attractions.
Parks making the list this year include:
Cedar Point – Sandusky, OH, which now features a floorless roller coaster called the Rougarou.
Carowinds – Charlotte, NC, featuring the new Fury 325, the world’s tallest and fastest giga-coaster.
Knoebels – Elysburg, PA, which has added the Impulse, a steel tower roller coaster.
Hersheypark – Hershey, PA, now with the first indoor, spinning glow-coaster called the Laff Trakk.
Dollywood – Pigeon Forge, TN, which has just added Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, featuring two pools, a kids’ club, family suites and a spa.
Six Flags Great Adventure – Jackson, NJ, with the El Diablo, a looping coaster inspired by the Jersey Devil.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg – Williamsburg, VA, with the Tempesto coaster, hurling riders at speeds of over 60 mph.
Silver Dollar City – Branson, MO, which has added 10 new family attractions at Fireman’s Landing, including a free-fall drop ride and water spray area.
Knott’s Berry Farm – Buena Park, CA, with the new interactive 4-D ride, Voyage to the Iron Reef.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas – San Antonio, TX, which has added Batman The Ride, with 4-D features and two 90-degree drops.
