In baseball, Wadsworth defeated Cuyahoga Falls 13-2. The Grizzlies scored 8 runs in the fourth inning as the game was stopped at the end of five. Wadsworth had 15 hits in the game. The Black Tigers didn’t have a hit. Cameron Deemer struck out 7.
AJ Robinson had 2 singles, a double, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in. Luke Clinton added 2 hits and 2 RBIs, Dominic Boni had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in and Ross Thompson contributed 2 hits and a run scored.
On the softball diamond, Wadsworth shutout Twinsburg 8-0. The Lady Grizzlies scored two runs in the first and six in the fourth inning. Kim Crookston pitched the complete game, four-hit shutout. Kim struck out seven and helped herself at the plate with two singles and an RBI.
The Grizzlies offense had 13 hits. Laney Schoonover had a single, a double and three runs batted in. Olivia Chaney had two hits, Kailin Hurrle, two hits and Madison Long two hits and an RBI. The Lady Grizzlies now 4-0 on the season.
In Boys Tennis, Highland defeated Wadsworth 4-1. The Grizzlies are now 1-2 on the season.
