The Wadsworth Grizzlies ended their 7-game losing steak as they defeated Firestone High School out of the Akron City Series by a score of 49-40.

Wadsworth is now 2-11 on the season. Firestone falls to 3-12.

The Grizzlies jumped out to a 18-14 led at the end of the first quarter. Solomon Callahan and Carter Link hit back-to-back threes to get Wadsworth going in the first minute of the game.

Wadsworth led by 7 at the end of the second and third quarters.

Senior Stan Bingham led Wadsworth with 14 points and 10 assists, the first double-double of his high school career. Junior Jacob Juriga also chipped in with 14 points.

The Grizzlies are back on the court Friday Night against Nordonia on the Knights home floor.
