Wadsworth baseball 2015 SLIDERThe Wadsworth Varsity Baseball team has maintained its position in the latest poll released on Monday by the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association. In Div. I, Wadsworth remains fourth. That’s where the Grizzlies were last week.

In first place in Div. I, according to the poll, is Cincinnati Moeller, with a record of 22-3. Walsh Jesuit is second at 20-2. Lakota West is third at 20-3. In fourth is Wadsworth at 22-0. The Grizzlies are the only undefeated high school baseball team in the state.

The State Tournament begins on Wednesday for Wadsworth. The Grizzlies will host a game between the winner of Tuesday’s game between Ellet and Suburban League foe Copley.

In the poll, Moeller received 18 first-place votes and 257 points. Walsh Jesuit had 195 points. Lakota West collected 172 points. Wadsworth got five first-place votes and 169 points.
