Wadsworth Community Radio

heroinAnother community meeting is being held tonight (Nov. 10) to continue the discussion surrounding heroin and opiate addiction. The group “Wadsworth Against Heroin” will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ (located on High Street) in Wadsworth.

This is the group that was started by Tom Palecek and Dan Rospert back in September.

“We had close to 60 people attend the first meeting and more than 60 in the second meeting,” said Palecek. “That tells me the people in the community are very concerned about this problem and we ought to be doing something about it.”

Palecek will lead attendees in prayer before the meeting begins.

“They’re all good, solid citizens who come and say what can I do, how can I help? Yes, some people do come just to hear what’s going on, but the majority of people come and say, how can I help?”

Join Palecek and Rospert at tonight’s meeting to learn ways you can get involved in the fight against addiction.
