“You just have to see it to believe it.” That’s a common reaction from first-time spectators at the American Blind Golf Tournament, returning to Pine Valley Golf Course in Wadsworth from June 10–13, 2025. This invitational event brings together some of the most skilled blind and visually impaired golfers from across the U.S. and Canada, proving that vision is no barrier to precision, skill, and sportsmanship.
The competition will feature a USA vs. Canada team challenge, bringing an added level of intensity and camaraderie. The three days of competitive play — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 8:30 a.m. each day — will showcase individual talent and national pride as players battle for victory.
On Friday, June 13, the tournament concludes with a Charity Scramble, where community members and supporters have a chance to tee off alongside these inspiring athletes at 1:45 p.m.
“What these golfers can do is truly remarkable,” said tournament organizer and blind golfer Mark Arnold. “People assume golf is impossible without sight, but once they see us in action, reading greens through feel, relying on our coaches, and striking the ball with confidence, they walk away with a whole new perspective.”
Spectators are encouraged to attend and witness these extraordinary abilities firsthand. “It’s one of the most inspiring sporting events you’ll ever experience,” added Arnold. “It’s not just about golf, it’s about resilience, teamwork, and pushing past limitations.”
American Blind Golf is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and supports a greater mission. Since its founding, ABG has donated more than $500,000 to blind charities and veteran initiatives across the country.
Not to mention, this year’s ABG event is especially meaningful, as it’s serving as a prelude to the 2026 Phoenix Cup. Unlike our event, which focuses on blind and visually impaired golfers, the Phoenix Cup includes athletes with many different types of disabilities, making it a celebration of ability in every form.
