Jodi Johnson against North RoyaltonThe school year at Wadsworth High School is less than a month old. It has already been a big year for senior Jodi Johnson of the Grizzlies volleyball and basketball teams.

It was announced last month that Jodi had accepted a partial scholarship offer from Ashland University that increases every year. She’s the third member of the Lady Grizzlies basketball that will play for Ashland. in the 2010s, Lindsay Tenyak and Taylor Woods have played for both Wadsworth High School and Alliance.

Jodi was named to the All-Ohio Division One basketball team at the conclusion of last season. She averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, nearly four assists and three steals a game for the Lady Grizzlies in the 2014-15 season.

In each of her three seasons with the Lady Grizzlies varsity basketball team, Jodi’s teams have reached the Division One Regional Finals.

In Volleyball, Jodi Johnson has set a new Wadsworth High School record for most kills in a career. In a match last month against Cuyahoga Falls, Jodi had four kills, which brought her career total to 899. Last year, the Wadsworth Volleyball Team reached the Division One Regional Finals before losing.

At 5-foot-11, and playing at the outside hitter position, Jodi should push that career kill total higher and higher.
