Wadsworth Community Radio

The Wadsworth Girls Varsity Basketball team has a share of the Suburban League’s National Conference Title. The Lady Grizzlies defeated Hudson 69-43 to finish with a Conference record of 13-1.

Peyton Banks led the Lady Grizzlies with 17 points. Taylor Leatherman and Sophia Fortner added 11 points apiece. Taylor and Sophia each scored three, 3-point baskets.

Stow-Munroe Falls defeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights 69-24 to finish with the same conference record as Wadsworth at 13-1.

The Lady Grizzlies, now at 19-2 overall in the regular season, will finish up the regular season Friday night at 7:30 at the Wadsworth High School Gymnasium against Solon.

Wadsworth’s first Tournament game will be at Wadsworth High School on Thursday February 22nd against the winner of the Cuyahoga Falls vs. Kenmore-Garfield matchup.
