For the first time since 2002 the Wadsworth Girls Softball team are champions of the Suburban League’s National Conference.

The Lady Grizzlies defeated Stow-Munroe Falls in a doubleheader, the second game by a score of 9-5 to win the Conference.
Wadsworth had to win its last four games in a row to be crowned conference champions. Head Coach Mike Schmeltzer Senior told us that he had a good feeling that the Lady Grizzlies would win their last four games to win the championship.

The Lady Grizzlies defeated North Royalton 4-3 and Cuyahoga Falls 13-2 before setting up the May 18th showdown with Stow-Munroe Falls.

The Lady Grizzlies end the season with a Conference record of 11-3 and an overall mark of 21-7.
