The Medina County Drug Task Force is hosting an all-day “Operation Bridge” outreach event today (Sept. 24) at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Medina (696 Lafayette Rd). More than 20 local agencies will be on hand with resources for mental health, substance use treatment, housing, employment, and veteran services. The family-friendly event runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes inflatables and free ice cream in the afternoon.
This one-day event is designed to connect individuals and families who are either seeking help or in recovery with essential services in a supportive environment. Services will include substance use and mental health support, housing and recovery resources, veteran services, banking help, BMV assistance, victim advocacy, scam prevention, child support and Medicaid assistance, and employment support.

“Operation BRIDGE is a strategic effort that blends law enforcement and treatment resources to reduce both the supply and demand of illicit substances, while prioritizing help, healing, and hope for those in need,” said Michael Barnhardt, Harm Reduction Coordinator with the Medina County Drug Task Force.
