Walking in Circles debut album "Go"Wadsworth city officials knew exactly who they wanted to kickoff the Blue Tip Festival in Wadsworth: local band “Walking In Circles.”

“The group draws an incredible number of fans. They have a great following,” city prosecutor Tom Morris said, who organizes the event each year.

The group will kick off the Blue Tip Festival on Tuesday night (June 23), following the parade, which begins at 6 p.m. They, along with an opening act, will hit the stage around 8 p.m. for a show you won’t want to miss!

The band members, along with their momager (Carrie Gray), were recently on the morning show with Tom and Tina, performing their Eric Clapton version of “Layla” and an original song, “On My Way” with vocalist Allison Wolf as the lead. (Friends, if you haven’t heard Allison sing, you need to!)

Zack, Jake, Blake, Allison, Kevin and Ben are full of energy and commitment and they bring so much laughter and spirit to our studio.

They’ve competed in several Battle of the Bands, winning some and placing in others. I love that they always learn something from each show that will help them get better and better and closer to their ultimate goal of making it big one day.

“We’re called ‘Walking in Circles’ because we can’t really decide exactly which genre of music we are,” joked Jake, who is the band’s lead guitarist.

The band has also been requested to play at Ripper’s Rock House on July 11 for the establishment’s second anniversary. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $15.
