baseballTwo Wadsworth High School baseball players have earned post-season honors from the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Seniors Riley Campbell and Nick Bebout have been selected to the OHSBCA All-Ohio teams. Campbell was named to the Division One second team while Bebout was selected honorable mention.

Both are the first Wadsworth baseball players to receive All-Ohio honors since Nick Goddard was named to the first team back in 2003.

Campbell, who played shortstop and was the lead-off hitter for the Grizzlies, hit .405 this past season with 39 runs scored, 29 stolen bases and 16 runs bated in. Campbell finished his Wadsworth career as the all-time leader in stolen bases with 73 and hit-by-pitches with 22. Campbell will play baseball at the University of Toledo next season.

Bebout had a pitching record of 9-0 with an Earned Run Average of 0.89. He finished his Wadsworth career with record of 25-3. That’s the second most wins in Medina County history. At the plate, Bebout hit 4 home runs this season and drove in 22 runs. His four home runs was the most in Medina County this past high school season. Bebout will play college baseball at Walsh University.

The Grizzlies finished with a 27-1 record, losing to Walsh Jesuit in the Hudson District finals.
