Wadsworth Community Radio

With the total solar eclipse coming up April 8, 2024, and northeast Ohio being in the path of totality, we thought it would be a great time for an amazing contest!

Wadsworth Community Radio has a Celestron NexStar computerized telescope with solar filter kit (valued at $950) to give to one lucky winner of our contest.

The winner will be chosen during Wadsworth’s April First Friday event by former Wadsworth resident and retired astronaut Mike Foreman. Winner need not be present, however, the telescope must be picked up in person (no shipping).

Mike Foreman will also be available on April First Friday by the space mural (in The Strand alley) to take photos. After that, he will sign autographs in a different downtown location.

To purchase a ticket, you can scan the QR Code on our contest flyer below, or see the other ways to enter the contest. If you choose to enter via cash or check, please make sure you leave contact info (phone number and email) on your envelope. We will put all names on a spreadsheet and coordinate them with a ticket number.

All funds from this contest go to Wadsworth Community Radio’s operating costs, as we are a 501(c)3 radio station. Ticket sales can be tax deductible for that reason. Good luck and thank you for participating!
