The Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies basketball team started quickly in last Saturday’s game against Twinsburg and didn’t let up. Wadsworth scored a 59-29 win at Twinsburg.
It was win number six in a row for the Wadsworth Girls Basketball team. Wadsworth is 4-0 in the Suburban League.
The Lady Grizzlies jumped out to an 18-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. Wadsworth increased the lead to 31-9 at halftime and coasted home from there.
Sophomore point guard Sophia Fortner led the way for Wadsworth with 17 points. Sophomore forward Lexi Lance added 16. Jodi Johnson chipped in with 11 points.
The next action for the Lady Grizzlies will be on Wednesday night when they travel to Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Tipoff is at 7:30 pm.
