WHS BOWLING SENIOR & COACHES 2016It was Senior Night for the Wadsworth High School Co-Ed Bowling team on Friday night. Both the boys and the girls’ teams ended the regular season in Style.

The Wadsworth Boys team defeated Lexington 2,227 to 2.055 in the match bowled at Ghost Alleys. The Boys end the regular season with an overall record of 8-7. They finished 6-6 in the Suburban League. Cooper Wrobel topped the score sheet for the Grizzlies, rolling a two-game series of 391(232-189).

Senior Megan Stevens led the way for the Lady Grizzlies, bowling a 370 series against Lexington. (168-202)

Wadsworth head bowling Coach George Steele said “it was a great way to end the season for both teams. We’re building momentum at the right time”.

On Saturday, the Suburban League post-season tournament will be held. Next week, sectional play begins in the OHSAA State Tournament. Wadsworth will bowl at Stonehedge in Akron next Saturday in their sectional round.

Before the match began, the seniors on the team, Kevin Dunn, Annie Hunt and Megan Stevens were honored by their parents and teammates at Ghost Alleys.
