Wadsworth Middle School Cheerleaders are excited to show their support to 7th grade student Colin Campbell and his family by spearheading the efforts for a dedicated Colin’s Night Basketball game. Colin is the Wadsworth City Schools Athletic Director’s son who is fighting leukemia, specifically ALL.

On Thursday, Jan. 23 during the 7th and 8th grade games, there will be Colin merch available to buy (T-shirts and stickers), a raffle to win two prizes: a 3-month YMCA Family membership or a JORD watch ($200 value). Donation collection points will also be available.

“We are inviting the community to join us and show Colin how many folks are cheering him though his journey,” cheerleading coach Kristy Doyle said.

In addition, it is Youth Night at the Wadsworth High School boys varsity basketball game tonight. After the middle school games, Doyle’s squad will be taking the fundraising efforts and awareness to the High School.

“At halftime of the Varsity game, all cheerleaders (Youth to Middle School to Varsity) will be on the court preforming and wearing Colin Crew Shirts!” Doyle explained. “Let’s continue to show the Campbell family how the Grizzly community comes together!”

The Wadsworth Middle School basketball games begin at 5 p.m. at WMS. JV begins 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7:30 p.m. at WHS.
