The Wadsworth School District has been notified by the Medina County Health Department that there has been a confirmed case of Pertussis at Wadsworth High School.
This is the third case of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) that has been confirmed by the Health Department within the Wadsworth School District during the month of May.
School District Officials have been told by the Health Department that this number does not constitute an ‘outbreak’ of the illness. But, the School District decided to notify all school district families, rather than to tell only those at the High School.
