Join the “Sea of Red” tonight in Columbus – Wadsworth Community Radio

Wadsworth Community Radio

Wadsworth Grizzly pawThe Schottenstein Center was a ‘sea of red’ on Friday night. Wadsworth Lady Grizzly fans came in droves from Medina County to the Division One State Semifinal. The Lady Grizzlies did not disappoint as Wadsworth defeated Reynoldsburg 58-48.

There were over 1,500 pre-sale tickets sold at Wadsworth High School during the week. There was a fans’ bus and a bus for students from the High School. Plus, there were Wadsworthians who decided at the last minute to make a drive south to Columbus.

The Wadsworth marching band was on hand to lend their support.

Everybody was wearing red.

Those sitting on the Wadsworth bench noticed the sea of red. Sophomore point guard Sophia Fortner said ‘we have great fans behind us. It’s a great experience”.

Wadsworth Coach Andrew Booth has said many times during the season that Wadsworth has the best fan support of any girls’ team in the state.

So, if you’re coming to Columbus to watch the championship game between Wadsworth and Mason, just remember to wear your red.
