State Cross Country Meet Delayed. Lady Grizzlies Wait. – Wadsworth Community Radio

The Wadsworth Girls Cross Country team will have to wait until November 10th before competing for the Division One State Championship at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced that the Boys and Girls State Cross Country Championship races will now take place on Saturday November 10th. The championship was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday November 3rd and was postponed because of soggy conditions at the race site.

The seven members of the Wadsworth Girls Cross Country team are Senior Sami Beddow, Sophomores Emma Codding, Laney Corell, Michaela Davis and Ashley Galek (Gal-eck) and Freshmen Rachel Murphy and Clare Nicholas. The team is coached by John Burton.

The 5-K race for the Wadsworth Girls team is now scheduled for 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon November 10th..
