Medina County Sheriff Tom Miller has asked the state office of criminal justice for a one-year, $600,000 grant to fund a drug treatment program at the Medina County Jail.
The program would help inmates who are dealing with a heroin addiction.
Participation in the program would be voluntary and would only be available to those sentenced for drug-related crimes.
