According to Hotels.com, Las Vegas is the top domestic travel destination for 2014, followed by New York, Orlando, San Diego and Los Angeles.
The top international travel destination for Americans is London, with several Canadian cities landing in the Top Ten.
International travelers are mostly headed to New York and Las Vegas.
There were a lot of people traveling in the first nine months of this year, not to mention the summer specifically, so, where did everyone go? Well, according to Hotels.com, this year’s top domestic travel destinations were pretty similar to last years, with Las Vegas topping the list, followed by New York, Orlando, San Diego and Los Angeles.

One location that saw a huge increase in visitors is the Grand Canyon region, which saw record-breaking crowds this year to put it at number 45, which is the first time it has landed in the Top 50. Other cities making big leaps for the first half of this year include Phoenix, Kansas City and St. Louis.
Meanwhile, internationally the Top Five destinations frequented by Americans remains the same as last year, with London on top, followed by Paris, Rome, Toronto and Vancouver. Overall, Canada seemed to be a huge travel destination. In addition to Toronto and Vancouver, Montreal came in sixth while Niagara Falls ranked in the Top 20 at number 14.
As for international travelers coming here, New York is still the most desired destination, followed by Las Vegas and Orlando.
