We all know it isn’t easy shopping for anyone, and kids are no exception. I mean these days kids get everything they want, so how do you make sure you aren’t buying them a toy they already have, or a shirt they will never wear?
Well, apparently now kids just tell you. Seems just like adults do with weddings and baby showers, more and more kids are creating gift registries to make sure they get exactly what they want for their big day, whether it’s a birthday, communion, Bar Mitzvah or even graduation.
Companies like Toys “R” Us and Amazon.com have been providing kids an outlet to list their wants for years, and both have seen a surprising growth in their digital registry services recently. “Since first launching Toys ‘R’ Us Wish List in 2010, we’ve seen thousands of kids and families take advantage of the service annually,” a spokesperson told the “New York Post.”
Of course some people find the idea of a kids’ gift registry distasteful, and feel it takes away the personal elements of gift giving, making it more of a business transaction.
