The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities is offering a Transportation Resource Series to help local residents interested in understanding and getting more information about transportation options in Medina County.

The series includes four different sessions, each session covering a different topic. Attendees will learn how to access each option, costs that may be associated with each option and other important information to help them get where they need to go.

The second session in the series will be held on Tuesday, August 20 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Medina County Achievement Center (4691 Windfall Road, Medina) and will cover information about using Uber and Lyft.

MCBDD Staff Member Michelle Fortney, who has developed this informative series, says, “We’ve heard many people, with and without disabilities, in our community struggle with transportation needs; everyone from students to senior citizens. This is someplace where our agency can help, and we’re really excited about it. This is a great opportunity for anyone to learn how to find the transportation they need to get to the places they want.”

The Transportation Resource Series is open to anyone in the community, and registration is recommended. For more information, visit www.mcbdd.org or call 330-725-7751 ext. 232.
