Wadsworth senior Shannon Jones bowled “as good as we could ever ask,” head coach George Steele said proudly from Columbus in Friday’s Div. I girls bowling state tournament at Wayne Webb’s Bowling Center.
Steele said Shannon got her nerves out during her first game when she shot a 173. She followed that with a 168 and 200. Her 541 series means Shannon finished 29th in the state.
There were 100 bowlers that registered scores in Friday’s individual state championship. The winner was Tori Pappas of Columbus Briggs who had a three-game total of 619.
Congratulations Shannon. You did the “Grizzly Nation” proud!
