nordoniaThe Girls Division One State Basketball semi-final features two teams that are very familiar with each other.

Granted Wadsworth has not played Reynoldsburg this year, but Lady Grizzlies head coach Andrew Booth says the teams have ‘scrimmaged plenty of times in the past’.

Coming into Friday’s game, Wadsworth’s record is 26-1. Reynoldsburg is 23-5.

“Reynoldsburg has no seniors on its roster and only two or three juniors. They are a very talented team, but the talent is very young”, said Booth.

In the State Tournament, Reynoldsburg has won two games in overtime and banked in a three at the buzzer to win. In the Regional finals, they beat Newark, a team we beat earlier in the year”.

Coach Booth feels that he has a good idea of what Reynoldsburg likes to do. “I’ve watched 6 or 7 games on tape already. I want to have a good idea of what they do”.

And if the schedules work out, Reynoldsburg is supposed to be one of the teams participating in next season’s Believe Roundball Classic at Wadsworth High School.
