At the March 9 Mental Health Committee meeting at Wadsworth High School, members of the #BeKindWadsworth initiative announced they’ve been working with Leadership Medina County on a suicide prevention training program and will be offering free QPR training in Wadsworth, with dates to be announced soon.
The group will also be creating a calendar of quotes, FAQs, and random acts of kindness to keep it on the community’s mind over the summer. Wadsworth Community Radio will be sharing these updates on-air in support of the group.
Finally, a grant is in the works by members of #BeKindWadsworth for the group to be able to give out kindness “gifts” in the future. We’ll know more about those “gifts” if the grant goes through.
