Benches, waste stations and fencing go up at Wadsworth dog park

Volunteers and dog park organizers spent a beautiful Sunday getting the area inside Valley View Park ready for four-legged friends and their owners.

“Great job to the organization and volunteers for all your hard work today! We are almost done!” a message with photos noted on the organization’s Facebook page.

The group installed benches, most of the hundreds of feet of fencing and waste stations. Water stations for animals and humans will go up next.

Dog park organizers were hoping to have the park open for the community to use last month, but Mother Nature stalled the project. It’s now hoped the dog park will be open for fun by mid-July.
