The Wadsworth School Board changed its mind about plans to construct its student built home this coming year on South Boulevard in Wadsworth.
Delays in completing this year’s project had the Four Cities Compact re-evaluate their plans for building a home on the South Boulevard lot. The site still needs tree removal, grading, and a possible contract with an engineer for soil compaction.
In order to keep on schedule with a new project and less checklist needs, the district purchased two lots in Doylestown on Thorn Way.
“This allows us to deal with a location familiar to us and that we believe we can break ground on in the shortest amount of time,” explainded FOur Cities Compact head Bill DiMascio. “This will also allow us time to manage site preparation for the South Boulevard location.”
“We intend to build a 1,335 square foot ranch on the next Doylestown lot, with two full baths, one being in the master,” DiMascio said. He also said it would have three bedrooms total, plus upstairs laundry. It would be finished by June 2025.
Their floor plans were recently evaluated and approved by the Village of Doylestown and Wayne County.
