Construction crews continue to make progress on building the new Wadsworth Fire Station No. 1 on College Street.
“We keep having progress meetings every two weeks and everything is going good. We are hoping to have the east side of the building, the administration portion, under a roof next month…so they can start working internally,” Wadsworth Fire Chief Bob Linder said.
“All the underground is done and the only concrete that needs poured is the apparatus bay. They are moving along quickly and we are still hoping for an end of September opening date.”

No decision has been made on the future of the current Fire Station No. 1 on Lyman Street.
