heroinEvery week in Ohio, 23 people are losing their precious lives to a heroin addiction, making opiate addiction the number one killer in Ohio. But Tim Smith, director of the brand new LCADA addiction treatment facility in Medina, says their long treatment program is offering hope and recovery.

“It’s a much longer term treatment,” Smith said. “Majority of clients stay with us for a year…Many of our clients are using medication to help with withdrawal and many also receive mental health services to have emotional sobriety as well as physical sobriety.”

Smith says the heroin epidemic knows no boundaries and is impacting people of all ages, races, backgrounds. But LCADA offers hope to addicts and their families. The LCADA Way has a 50-percent recovery rate for those who complete their program.

The brand new LCADA treatment facility is located at 740 East Washington Street in Medina and is a non-profit facility, meaning no or low fees for their services.

If you someone you know are ready to break the bondage of heroin addiction, the LCADA Medina office intake number is 330-952-1546.
