It appears less and less likely that the extensive road improvement project on State Route 94 near its intersection with I-76 will take place this year.
Even if the Ohio Department Of Transportation would rebid the project this year, Wadsworth service director Robert Patrick doesn’t know if there would be enough time for contractors to bid, order the necessary equipment and get their crews in place before the summer construction season comes to an end.
Patrick said after a city council meeting that the best hope now is having the project bid either in the fall or winter, with work on Route 94 starting when the weather breaks next year.
Earlier this year, ODOT rejected two bids for the project because they were too high.
