A number of Wadsworth city streets are scheduled to be resurfaced this summer.

Last month, Wadsworth City Council authorizing Public Service Director Robert Patrick to enter into a contract with Perrin Asphalt Company to repave a number of roads in the city. There were eight bidders for the contract, which engineers estimated at $600,000.

Perrin came in with the lowest and best bid at $473,000.

Among the streets scheduled to be improved this summer are Seville Road, West Street, Park Court, Lucas Court, Fairlawn Avenue and Ohio Avenue. It is not known when the asphalt work will take place.

In the next few weeks, Wadsworth will receive bids for improvements to be made to concrete streets in the city. There will also be a crack sealing program along various streets in Wadsworth.
