Wadsworth Community Radio

The city of Wadsworth hopes to get started with the annual streets program sometime in July. Wadsworth Service Director Robert Patrick says the amount of money to be spent on the asphalt portion will be less than budgeted.

Originally, the budget to conduct the 2020 Street Repair program in Wadsworth in 2020 was going to be $952,000, with $830,000 being spent on asphalt repair.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wadsworth will reduce spending on street repairs until they get a better handle on revenues coming into the City Treasury.

Streets originally scheduled to be resurfaced this year include Sunset Boulevard, Bird Street, Pine Street, Santee Court, Stevenson Drive, Virginia/Garfield, Brouse Drive, North Lyman, South Lyman, Chestnut and Rainbow/Mill.
