The Wadsworth Grizzlies will play for a share of the Suburban League National Conference Championship next Friday night, thanks to a 49-35 victory over the Twinsburg Tigers at Art Wright Stadium.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights and Hudson both won their games this week. BBH is 6-0 in conference. Hudson and Wadsworth are 5-1. Wadsworth will host BBH ON Friday November First.
Wadsworth had a 14-0 lead on touchdowns by Dom Loparo and Barret Labus. Twinsburg tied it at 14 before the Grizzlies sored two late touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 28-14 lead at the half.
The Grizzlies had a 49-14 lead before Twinsburg scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to close the gap.
Wadsworth is 7-2 overall. Twinsburg falls to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in the Suburban League.
