Much of the construction work on the Interstate 76/State Route 94 project this week will be along the so-called Access Roads.
The access road off High Street that provides access to Peebles, Tractor Supply, Dunham Sports, Big Lots and the Goodwill Buildings, between Burger King and Applebees is now open. This road was reconstructed as part of the project. The city of Wadsworth took possession of the road in 2016 and is now part of the city’s road system.
The access road located north of Discount Drug Mart is nearing completion and could be opened in another week or so.
Access roads behind Discount Drug Mart and to the north of Taco Bell are currently under construction.
The access road located north of Dunkin Donuts is now open. Casa Del Rio, the Marathon Gas Station and Dunkin Donuts can be accessed by using this access road.
On High Street, temporary lane closures are possible throughout the length of the project as crews work to widen the pavement. A temporary traffic signal has been installed on High Street at its intersection with Great Oaks Trail/Park Center Drive.
On Interstate 76, at its interchange with State Route 94, currently has both the inside and the outside shoulder closed. Off peak-hour lane closures are possible. Crews are currently working to install pilings for the State Route 94 bridge over Interstate 76.
