The pace of construction work on the Interstate 76/State Route 94 project in Wadsworth is starting to pick-up.
On Interstate 76, underneath the State Route 94 overpass, both the inside and outside road shoulders are closed. Off-peak hour lane restrictions are also possible.
On State Route 94, intermittent single-lane closures south of the Interstate 76 Bridge are possible as construction crews perform waterline, drainage and earth work and install erosion control items throughout the construction site. High Street, at its bridge over Interstate 76, has lane restrictions. There is one lane of thru traffic at all times and one left turn lane available. This allows crews to complete bridge work.
North of the overpass, between Interstate 76 and Smokerise Drive, traffic is reduced to one thru lane and one left turn lane in each direction to allow crews to complete the pavement widening along the eastbound side of State Route 94.
At time, traffic can become very congested in the construction area. Caution and patience on the part of motorists is advised.
The project is not scheduled to be completed until November 2017.
