Two major road projects in Wadsworth are getting close to completion.
Work is continuing this week on the repaving of Akron Road, or State Route 261, between High Street and the Medina-Summit county line. the 2-mile repaving project will cost about $1 million with the state of Ohio paying 80% of the cost. The city of Wadsworth will play the remainder.
The contractor will do some repairs to the base of the road before it is repaved. Most of the repaving work will be done at night, especially in the shopping areas near Interstate 76.
Father north on High Street (State Route 94) near the Intersection with 76, work crews are busy with landscaping in the area and moving their equipment out for the winter.
