The first Wadsworth road construction project in 2018 will get started sometime in January.

The city is moving ahead with plans to replace a water line on the north side of Broad Street, from Sacred Heart Church to Lyman Street. In addition, Dominion East Ohio has informed the city that it plans to do some improvements on the south side of Broad Street in early 2018. So the city has decided to replace a water line on the south side of Broad Street, between the Street Department office and Downtown.

The city of Wadsworth hopes to award a contract for the $1 million waterline project in January. It’s hoped the project will be completed in the spring and have Broad Street repaved in time for the Blue Tip Parade in June.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the paving project will take place in July.
